Queen guitarist Brian May has reassured fans he is "getting stronger" after cancelling a tour in October over a "persistent illness".

The Brit revealed that he didn't have the "energy" to perform live to the required standard, causing the axeman to shelve UK shows he had planned to play with singer Kerry Ellis.

Speaking on Twitter on Monday (December 5), May confirmed that he is getting better, but still has to take things easy. He said: "Just want to say thanks, dear twitter folks – for all your kind wishes. I'm still taking it relatively slowly, but getting stronger. Bri."
