Today saw the inaugural Swiss Mercury Phoenix Trust Petanque Day take place in a stunning setting beneath the mountains, just outside of Montreux.

Hosted by MPT leader Claudia Walker, the event was attended by local supporters and friends of the trust, who through their donations to play helped raise money for the MPT in the ongoing fight against HIV/AIDS worldwide.

On display at the event was the original Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert drape that was signed by all the performing artists on the day.
