Queen and Adam Lambert confirm Ukraine AIDS charity show

Queen and Adam Lambert will play a special show in Ukraine later this month in support of the fight against AIDS.

The show, which will also feature Sir Elton John, is set to take place in Kiev's Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence Square) on June 30.

It will run in conjunction with the Elena Pinchuk ANTIAIDS Foundation and the Elton John AIDS Foundation in an effort to generate publicity and donations.

The gig will take place a day before the final of the Euro 2012 football tournament, which is being held in Ukraine and Poland, and is being supported by football body UEFA.

The concert organisers have confirmed that the performers will waive their fees for the event.
