All this, interspersed with recollections and often hilarious anecdotes surrounding the early years, including the real reason the ‘caps’ were adopted and what ‘Showaddywaddy’ and another famous American band had to do with the Rubettes’ success, make it the 70s show of 2016 that you won’t want to miss. As tribute bands are steadily replacing their original counterparts in perpetuating Rock’n’Roll legends, the authenticity of the Rubettes featuring Alan, John and Mick is unique.
