Based out of the USA, England, and Denmark, SCHOTT TREATMENT "pushes the boundaries of what pop music can be." Formed by Peter Schott and August Darnell of Kid Creole and The Coconuts, SCHOTT TREATMENT has created an homage to the great soundtracks of the 50’s and 60’s. Inspired by the films of Alfred Hitchcock and the scores from the James Bond series, SCHOTT TREATMENT weaves a unique tapestry of classical themes and existential lyrics. With orchestral melodies and haunting vocal performances, Schott and Darnell have created a ground-breaking sound for the ages. Their first single, “Being” will be released by 2C2C Music, in the summer of 2019

For over thirty years, Peter Schott has performed alongside his Coconut partner in crime, August Darnell, better known to the wider world as Kid Creole. With August’s back momentarily turned in a particularly flamboyant dance move, Peter has managed to escape his clutches to release his first solo work, his tribute to the classic movie themes of the 50s and 60s (plus some before and some after, before anyone tries to be clever!). Prompted by their shared obsession for film scores, they have combined their talents to bring the rain-soaked, shadowy side streets to their zingy original tracks, hard-boiled classics with their lapels pulled up to their ears. You can almost smell Humphrey Bogart’s aftershave.

Turning existing Coconut tracks into moody black and white classics isn’t as crazy as it first sounds. From their first forays into the music industry, Kid Creole and the Coconuts have defied expectations…dance music for people who detest dancing…Latin music for the linguistically challenged …genres have never mattered to the band, nor convention. August’s natural gift for wit and, frankly winding people up, has ensured their songs have never belonged in any specific era or market and with Peter he found a soul mate for whom music was always king.

Being’s chanteuse is Jo Harrop, a "velvet voiced" singer rising on the UK scene. Recently appearing at the Royal Albert Hall as part of London Jazz Festival 2018, and a regular at The 606 club, Pizza Express Jazz Club, The Hideaway, The Sage, headlining Scarborough Jazz Festival, and Burton Agnes Jazz and Blues Festival, amongst many other respected venues. Having started out as a singer/songwriter, including writing a song for Acoustic Alchemy’s album, Radio Contact, she was also a backing singer for several international stars, before establishing herself more recently as a singer on the jazz scene.
