Upstart punk trio The Retrospectives ‘Turn It Up’ for their new EP

4 track collection available now

Quickly building a reputation for themselves through their work ethic and constant gigging, The Retrospectives are a Sheffield based punk rock trio with bags of energy.

Raised on the music of their parents and inspired by the likes of Elvis Costello, Tom Petty and The Rolling Stones as well the punk movement of the 1970s, the band release their second EP as their live fan base continues to grow.

Now at the forefront of Sheffield’s vibrant music scene, The Retrospectives have been named by Q Magazine of one of the top 5 bands to watch in the city. Having supported Bruce Foxton (The Jam) during a recent tour, their live schedule for the rest of the year sees them play with The Boomtown Rats, accompany The Last Carnival on their UK tour and play a string of acoustic dates with indie folk pop band My First Tooth.

EP track ‘No Affection’ has been chosen for the release’s first music video and you can see it below.

It’s not hard to see why they’re gaining such plaudits for the energy of their live shows. Having now translated that to the studio, this is set to be the first of many exciting releases for this promising trio.
