‘Kill Lucy’ by The YuYa to be released on 16th April 2012 via Day Job Records

These guys have worked incredably hard to get this release done and finished, but it's now here!!!

A song about jealousy, hatred and possibly admiration! The Jazz indie folk rhythms will set up camp in your head and keep your head buzzing for hours!
‘I want to kill Lucy!’
The YuYa are Constance Dalrymple and Eliseo Soardi.
Formed in 2008 after a chance meeting at a fancy dress wedding and take their name from the Japanese boys name meaning "100 nights". They play acoustic fuelled, avant-garde, toe-tapping indie-folk music.
Since their first gig in Kilburn they have played over 200 shows across the UK, Europe and Africa, including a Festival in Casamance, Senegal.
After signing to Day Job Records in early 2011, they soon released their debut single "Naked" on download and limited edition 7" vinyl to instant critical acclaim.
Their debut album “A Boy, A Queen and A Fish” was recorded at Jamboree Studios in the beautiful town of Teatro Pieve di Ledro in Italy and is due for release in 2012. The first single from the album "It's Better" is currently available to buy on download.
How do you best describe hearing The YuYa for the first time?
"...my god it was amazing, like I was hit by a frying pan..." according to BBC London.
Have a listen and see what you think.
