Schiller To Play Debut UK Gig At Koko – 26th April 2013

After conquering his home country of Germany, ambient-electronica producer Schiller is set to play his much anticipated debut UK gig at Koko this April.

The project of German producer Christopher von Deylen, Schiller has quickly established him as one of Germany’s biggest live acts - playing over 300 sold out concerts to widespread critical acclaim. Uniting classic electro influences such as Kraftwerk and Tangerine Dream with modern electronic music, Schiller has developed a visionary sound that has captured the attentions of many. This has included such revered acts as Depeche Mode, for whom he supported at their final concert of their 2006 world tour, the Pet Shop Boys and Mike Oldfield. The latter is part of a growing list of collaborators who Schiller has worked with - a list that includes Sarah Brightman, Lang Lang and Midge Ure to name but a few. A prolific and forward thinking artist, Schiller has released numerous singles and albums leading him to picking up nine gold records, 3 platinum awards and being handed the Opus Award for best sound design.

Back with his new album Sun, Schiller is embarking on a lengthy tour which will see him grace the UK for the first time. Set to play the stunning London venue Koko, Schiller will play a collection of his classic hits, including ‘Das Glockenspiel’ and ‘I Feel You’, as well as tracks from the new album. The night also promises to include remarkable visuals and a new live set-up from Schiller’s band. Support will showcase a selection of the hottest UK talent, from DJ’s to electronic producers.
