Former X Factor contestant Rebecca Ferguson has opened up on the positive effects her new child has had on her.

The U.K. singer welcomed her third child Arabella late last year.

Speaking to the Mirror, Ferguson said that having a new baby in her life has made her "grow up". She said: "Having a baby has changed me as a person as I'm not interested in going out with the girls.

“I think all new mothers are like that really, it goes on the back seat. I think Arabella has completed me - she made me grow up, she made me value myself."

Meanwhile Ferguson is gearing up to release a reworked version of Billie Holiday's classic 1956 album Lady Sings The Blues on March 9.
