NEW YORK, NY (March 17, 2017) – Multiplatinum Dallas, TX R&B singer and songwriter SoMo releases his second full-length, The Answers [Republic Records], in stores everywhere and at all digital retailers today. Upon going live, the record soared to #1 on the iTunes Top R&B/Soul Albums Chart, and is currently approaching the Top 10 of iTunes Overall Top Albums Chart. Get it HERE.
The Answers signifies a natural progression for SoMo with tracks like the buzzing 2017 single “Just A Man.” It already peaked at #4 on the iTunes Top R&B/Soul Songs Chart—his highest position on the chart to date. In just a few weeks’ time, the song amassed over 704K Spotify streams. With a massive hook and throwback nineties production, “Just a Man” stands out as yet another powerhouse ballad from the crooner. The album also boasts “Play” [feat. Maty Noyes], which notably generated one million streams over the course of a week and has since crossed the 2 million-mark. Whether it’s the provocative “Mirror” or the cinematic piano-driven title track, his voice brilliantly shines throughout The Answers’ 13 new anthems.
Next month, SoMo brings the new music on the road with his “The Answers” Tour. Tickets have been selling fast for the North American run which begins April 13 in Memphis, TN at Minglewood Hall, crisscrosses the country over two months, and closes out with a hometown Dallas show June 16 at House of Blues and final night in Houston, TX at House of Blues June 17.
