KIKO BUN RETURNS WITH NEW SINGLE “FISTFUL OF NOTHING”

FROM KIKO BUN’S FORTHCOMING EP, THE CLUBS – OUT NEXT YEAR

Poised to build on the name he has credibly built for himself with his modern day roots and soul sounds that have garnered co-signs from some of reggae’s biggest authorities such as David Rodigan and Sean Paul, the north-west London based singer-songwriter, producer, vocalist and classically trained multi-instrumentalist, Kiko Bun has released his new single “Fistful of Nothing” (out now on Republic Records). Written and produced by Kiko Bun and Crispin Hunt, “Fistful of Nothing” is yet another stellar offering of Kiko’s immediately distinctive blend of reggae, soul and ska sounds mixed with hip-hop influences, which will no doubt excite fans old and new and drum up eager anticipation for his forthcoming EP The Clubs ahead of its release next year.

2015 saw Kiko formally making his mark on the music scene with infectious cuts ‘Where I’m From’ and ‘Alipanga’, which led to collaborations with key players in the reggae and dancehall world such as Alborosie, General Degree, Dre Island, Ticklah (founding member of Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings) and rising British producer Cadenza.  Tracks such as ‘Sometimes’ and 2016’s ‘Sticky Situation’ and ‘Can’t Hold Back’ received solid support from Radio 1, 1Xtra and 6 Music and with tastemaker outlets such as Dummy, Huck and The 405 while his cover of Toots & The Maytals’ ‘54-46 (Was My Number)’ was selected by Shane Meadows for the soundtrack of Channel 4’s hugely successful This Is England 90 series.

Kiko has taken his must-see stage performances to festivals across the UK including Glastonbury, Bestival, Parklife, The Great Escape, LoveboxSecret Garden Party and Reading & Leeds and also picked up an invitation to support the legendary The Wailers on tour.  Most recently he joined Chase and Status on a string of their UK tour dates - including their date at O2 Academy Brixton last month - to perform ‘Real No More’ the track he features on alongside Shy FX which is taken from the celebrated UK drum & bass act’s fourth studio album ‘Tribe’.

With Kiko Bun’s welcome arrival back on the scene and with the promise of more new music and captivating live shows, this rapidly rising talent is set to kick-off 2018 with a bang.
