NEW YORK, NY (September 7, 2018) — Today, buzzing Brooklyn/South Florida duo THE BLANCOS [LAVA Records] drop the official video for “We’re Tired” [feat. Joyner Lucas] which premiered on The FADER.

Check out the video below!

The video was directed by Patrick Tohilll (who notably worked with NF) and on its direction the band noted: “The video is metaphorical. It delivers an inspiring story of oppression and it’s struggles. The characters are trapped in their own home, which represents the closed mindedness of society. They are stuck in one moment in time not realizing there is a life much different outside their walls. The video is about rising up and taking a stand for what is right.”

Once again, The Blancos have created a genre-defiant anthem which is amplified by Joyner Lucas (known for his viral track “I’m Not Racist” and recent Eminem collaboration “Lucky You” on his latest album Kamikaze).

About the track, The Blancos said: “It’s about entitlement, the liberal youth versus corrupt conservative bigots - many of whom are descendants of the last counter culture generation; the baby boomer generation.

"Such irony in it all, the way time can alter ones stance. So many of those who were once anti-establishment have become the establishment, hardened in their ways.

"We have all become so lost in our modern day political battle of left against right that we’ve forgotten our humanity. Many of us have lost our sensibility to see beyond our beliefs. Blood has been shed, children have been taken from their mothers. The world has changed. WE have been the dominant catalyst, yet we collectively refuse to make many of the necessary adjustments to go along with it. We make music...a lot of it. Our music spans a wide variety of topics and genres, but this song is our PSA. We’re fed up. We’re tired of this mess.”

We’re Tired” arrives hot on the heels of the pair’s latest single “Know My Name.” Right out of the gate, it garnered widespread praise with Complex praising it as “a solid introduction to what they’re all about.”

Know My Name” was the feature track for ESPN’s 2018 NFL Draft and MLB’s 2018 MLB Draft on the MLB Network, along with being featured on ESPN for ‘College Gameday’, US Open Tennis Championship, and EA Sports NHL ’19 video game.
