Today, British pop outliers push baby release “@thebackoftheparty”, off their upcoming debut EP, woah [ School Boy Records/ Republic Records] — coming September 27, 2019. Listen BELOW.

Watch the official video and lyric video for “@thebackoftheparty” below:

“@thebackoftheparty is the bit in the night where you feel a bit wonky after the K kicks in so it’s smooth and joyous at times, but also quite erratic and harsh. We really messed up the ending and wanted Hanz Zimmer to do it but we didn't have his number or money” - Jake Roche of push baby

The band announced woah alongside the drop of the lyric video for their latest release “thor,” which highlights the song’s introspective lyrics. Watch BELOW.

On “thor,” push baby once again deliver a song evocative of their quirky and distinctive take on pop. “With “thor” I wanted to share a vulnerability not often voiced from a male perspective. The song touches on themes of toxic masculinity-unrealistic expectations and stereotypes set for males which contribute to insecurities, especially as it relates to body image and expressing one’s emotions,” said front man Jake Roche. Earlier this year, the band released a video for “thor” which they decided to officially release following popular fan demand.

The band made their debut earlier this year with the single “mama’s house.” To date, it has already gathered over 1.3 million streams and nearly half-a-million YouTube views.

Re-imagined, re-envisioned, and recharged as push baby, the group’s four musicians— Jake Roche [vocals, guitar], Charley Bagnall [guitar], Danny Wilkin [bass, keys], and Lewi Morgan [drums]—first joined forces for multi-platinum pop phenomenon Rixton. Despite their early success, the band wasn’t satisfied with the image they had presented to the world and decided to stop making music and touring. Following a four-year hiatus, they return as push baby—a completely new band that honestly represents who they are as artists for the very first time.
