New York, NY (September 13, 2019) – After quietly amassing critical praise as a singer, songwriter, and producer, Evan Konrad reimagines and re-envisions Soundgarden ’s classic “Black Hole Sun” with a chilling cover of his own.

Get it BELOW via LAVA/ Republic Records.

Konrad strips the song down to its solar essence with stark piano and soulful vocal delivery. Glimmering keys and cinematic orchestration underscore the iconic anthem’s menacing melancholy and majesty as his own expansive vocal range takes center stage. With this take on “Black Hole Sun, ” he joins the esteemed ranks of others to pay tribute to Soundgarden’s signature single such as Guns N’ Roses, Norah Jones, and Peter Frampton—and he does it justice with his own stirring and singular interpretation.

“Black Hole Sun” arrives on the heels of second single “Come on Snake, Lets Rattle.” Since its premiere on Ones To Watch, the song has been catching the attention of critics and approaching half-a-million streams. Check out the official video for “Come on Snake, Lets Rattle” here.

Be on the lookout for more from Evan Konrad soon!

Born and raised in Abbotsford, BC Canada, the singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist devoted his entire life to crafting music. Growing up in a house where creativity would be encouraged at every turn, he spent countless hours writing songs and producing. Following stints recording and on the road with other artists, he locked himself away in the studio and commenced work on what would become his forthcoming debut. With nothing more than a few songs on his private SoundCloud link shared by his manager, he caught the attention of LAVA founder Jason Flom who signed him on the spot—because of the downright mind-blowing songcraft.

The best way to describe the music would be Thom Yorke translating Christopher Nolan’s Memento into songs, and even that only scratches the surface.
