NEW YORK, NY – FEBRUARY 7th – Today, Oh Wonder releases their third album, No One Else Can Wear Your Crown—listen BELOW. The record was previewed by the beautiful video for their new song, “In And Out Of Love,” out now—watch BELOW. The duo’s epic 2020 world tour begins this week with intimate album release shows across the U.K., followed by headline tour dates through the summer—see the full list of dates below.

The idiosyncratic duo’s most uplifting, accomplished and personal album to date, No One Else Can Wear Your Crown, was written and self-produced in Oh Wonder’s own home studio, before being co-mixed with Cenzo Townshend (Bat For Lashes, Christine & The Queens, Jungle). In its 10-track entirety, it’s a record that explores a host of different emotions and experiences – some forged on the road on their last world tour, which included 300,000 worldwide tickets sold, and others from taking a break and reflecting on all that they’ve accomplished as a band so far, which includes a Top 10 album, a billion streams worldwide and global sold out tours.

It’s therefore unsurprising that No One Else Can Wear Your Crown has an overriding message of self-acceptance, empowerment and joy. It’s all there in buoyant lead single, “Happy,” whose video (in which the band plays out a breakup) caused a fan meltdown on announce, when many mistook it to be the actual end of Oh Wonder—including some of the pair’s own family and friends. The duo’s renewed energy is also all over the Carpe Diem spirit of first single, “Hallelujah”—a song of defiance that Josephine and Anthony wrote for anyone that has ever been told they can't do something.

Ultimately, it’s difficult not to leave No One Else Can Wear Your Crown feeling entirely convinced of the power of Oh Wonder. Recharged and ready for the next chapter, Oh Wonder appear more able than ever to just make it work: whether navigating the big questions of how to live and work with your partner, down to the everyday drama of what happens to your dog now that you have to go back on tour. No One Else Can Wear Your Crown is a candid, restorative set that offers a welcome antidote to our turbulent times, from a band firmly writing their own bright future.

ABOUT OH WONDER:
What started with the relatively modest ambition of uploading one track a month for a year on Soundcloud quickly transformed the lives of Josephine Vander Gucht and Anthony West, who make up London-based alt-pop duo Oh Wonder. Five years, two billion streams and more than a million record sales globally down the line – as well as a top 10 album in the U.K., and sold-out shows around the world and 300,000 global headline tickets – have led to where Oh Wonder find themselves in 2019: a truly modern-day success story, and one which, like the best of things, appears to have largely been a happy accident. The same, too, could be said of the friendship between Josephine and Anthony, whose magnetic intimacy on and off-stage has evolved (as many fans speculated) into romantic relationship, with all the highs and lows that come from living, working and doing just about everything else with your partner. As much as their new singles push the sound of the band forward, for Josephine and Anthony (who still write, record and produce all their music themselves in their home studio), it also represents that confidence – to open up and to go back to your roots – which has been paramount to their approach on their new album, No One Else Can Wear Your Crown.
