GIANT ROOKS TO LAUNCH 2022 NORTH AMERICAN TOUR THIS FALL

NEW YORK, NY (May 31, 2022) – After amassing hundreds of millions of streams, receiving plugs from Billboard and American Songwriter, and emerging as an international phenomenon, buzzing German indie rock collective Giant Rooks reveal the details for their highly anticipated North American headline tour this fall.
The run kicks off on November 30th at Detroit’s El Club and visits major cities including New York’s Webster Hall on December 6th and LA’s Fonda Theatre on December 18th. In 2020, the band served up Rookery which caused a sensation in Germany (#3 on the official album charts) and amassed a staggering 200 million streams along with strong chart performances in many countries. Prior, they reached critical mass with their breakout cover of Suzanne Vega’s “Tom’s Diner” with AnnenMayKantereit, surpassing 200 million streams globally and 112 million Spotify streams. It notably crashed the Spotify Top 200 in 30 markets and cracked the Billboard Hot 100 at #83 and the ARIA Top 50 at #18. Not to mention, it has also soundtracked 285K TikTok creates and vaulted onto Shazam charts in over 50 markets.
However, “Morning Blue” kickstarts the next chapter for singer Frederik Rabe, guitarist Finn Schwieters, bassist Luca Göttner, keyboarder Jonathan Wischniowski, and drummer Finn Thomas. Right from the jump, it reaffirms their status as indie mainstays worldwide.
