RESERVOIR ANNOUNCES JOINT VENTURE WITH FILM SCORE PRODUCTION COMPANY ATLANTIC SCREEN MUSICOFFICIAL PRESS RELEASENEWS PROVIDED BY Reservoir Media NEW YORK, Nov. 19, 2020 -- Reservoir announces a joint venture agreement with Atlantic Screen Music, one of the world’s leading film score and soundtrack production companies, in which the two will invest in a series of film score and soundtrack projects together. This venture represents Reservoir’s ongoing commitment to expanding the company’s repertoire in film music. Operating across several different verticals, Atlantic Screen Music has built an expertise in the acquisition, financing, supervision, and publishing of major film scores since its inception in 2009. Some of the company’s most successful projects include Atomic Blonde (2017) starring Charlize Theron and James McAvoy, Lone Survivor (2013) starring Mark Wahlberg, and Escape Plan (2013) starring Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and 50 Cent. Under this new agreement, Atlantic Screen Music and Reservoir will be partnering on upcoming films, including The War With Grandpa starring Robert De Niro, The Asset starring Michael Keaton and Samuel L. Jackson, Mothering Sunday starring Colin Firth and Olivia Coleman, and Cosmic Sin starring Bruce Willis. Atlantic Screen Music’s award-winning music supervision company, Redfive, has supervised on films such as the Oscar and BAFTA nominated The Wife starring Glenn Close and the BAFTA nominated McQueen, as well as television shows such as The Trip to Greece starring Steve Coogan and the new Apple TV series Long Way Up starring Ewan McGregor. RedFive will be supervising most of the films Reservoir will be co-financing. “Throughout history, we have seen how film scores and soundtracks add to the storytelling on-screen and often transcend to take on lives of their own off-screen. We have found perfect partners in Atlantic Screen Music to expand our film music repertoire, and curate the iconic film scores and soundtracks of tomorrow,” said Reservoir Founder and CEO Golnar Khosrowshahi. Added Reservoir President and COO Rell Lafargue, “This is a natural progression for Reservoir, as we represent or own an interest in some of the most iconic and recognizable film scores and soundtracks in history from Lawrence of Arabia and Bridge on the River Kwai to The Lion King and the Pirates of the Caribbean series. This deal sees us continuing to invest in this space and we are proud of the initial collection of film projects in the queue with Atlantic Screen Music.” Atlantic Screen Music CEO Simon Fawcett said, “We’re looking forward to building a strong partnership with one of America’s top independent publishers allowing Atlantic Screen a stronger presence in the U.S. market.” “Joining with Reservoir is a fantastic partnership for us,” added Atlantic Screen Music’s Creative Director Rupert Hollier. “They are a forward-thinking, hugely progressive independent music company with a truly global vision, which in turn augments our creative drive and output.”
