Rihanna's new album 'ANTi' isn't eligible for UK Official Charts entry

Superstar Rihanna delighted fans this week by releasing her new album 'ANTi' for free.

The record, which is her eighth, is now available for free streaming and purchase exclusively on TIDAL although this method of release (free download) means that it isn't eligible to enter the Official UK Albums Chart.

The Official Charts Company explains: "Free downloads don't count towards the Official Chart, meaning ANTi currently won't be eligible for the Official Albums Chart. It has not yet been announced when ANTi will be available to download and stream on other services, including iTunes, Apple Music and Spotify."

"ANTi will stream exclusively for a week on TIDAL, which is also has a limited number of free download codes available. The codes were offered as a "gift" from Rihanna and Samsung and they come with a 60-day free TIDAL trial."

Details about possible releases on Apple Music, iTunes and Spotify have yet to be revealed.
