Rihanna confirmed to play iconic role in final season of popular series 'Bates Motel'
'Umbrella' sensation Rihanna has been confirmed to star in the final season of the popular series, 'Bates Motel'.
The beauty, who is no stranger to acting, made the exciting announcement via video message during the Comic Con event in San Diego this week and said:
"Hello Comic-Con! It's bad girl Rih Rih and let me tell you what the bad b**ch is about to do. I'm about to check into the Bates Motel very soon. Guess what else? Guess who's playing Marion?"
Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin, the show's executive producers, also spoke about the news and added:
"We wanted to thrust the iconic role into a contemporary spotlight and redefine it in a meaningful and exciting new way. We also heard Rihanna was a fan of the show, and we were huge fans of hers, so it was the perfect collision of creativity and fate."
The role of Marion Crane was, of course, made famous by Janet Leigh in 'Psycho'.
