After Rihanna's three week chart struggle to earn the number 1 single over X Factor winner Matt Cardle, she's finally won the number 1 album.

The 'Umbrella' star has soared to the top spot with her album 'Loud', after 7 weeks in the chart knocking Take That's 'Progress' into the second position. 

Tinie Tempah and Plan B both experienced a surge in sales this week, moving up the charts 22 and 18 places respectively, and The Wanted make up the top five with their self-titled debut LP.
