Rihanna scores her record-breaking 11th No.1 single on the Billboard Hot 100

Pop sensation Rihanna has scored her 11th No.1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 countdown, which makes her only the 7th artist to achieve this incredible feat since the chart's inception 53 years ago.

'We Found Love', which also features Scottish DJ Calvin Harris, soared to the top spot after 6 weeks on the Hot 100 and has put the talented performer just behind Mariah Carey and Madonna, who are the only other female stars to have scored more No.1 singles on the chart.

Billboard.com published the leaderboard of its chart-topping acts and while The Beatles are in the lead with 20 No.1 records, Rihanna has overtaken both Stevie Wonder and Janet Jackson in the success stakes:

"Beatles (20), Mariah Carey (18), Michael Jackson (13), Madonna (12), the Supremes (12) and Whitney Houston(11). She passes Janet Jackson and Stevie Wonder, each with 10 No. 1s."

Writing to her 9.1 million followers on Twitter, the Bajan superstar expressed her excitement at the news:

'11th NUMBER ONE?????? That shit CRAY!!!! RihannaNavy Talk that Talk!!!!! #WeBadUMad"
