Rihanna has admitted that she spent a large part of her childhood "looking for UFOs".

She tackles aliens in her brand new blockbuster 'Battleship' and confessed to Britain's popular newspaper The Sun that while growing up, her father used to make her watch the night skies for signs of extraterrestrial life although she never caught sight of anything unusual:

"My dad used to make me sit outside on the steps all night long looking for Ufos flying by, and I had to do that for years."

"I didn't see any but I saw a falling star once and I was like, 'Yessss, Dad! Come and see, it just darted.'"
