'Diamonds' beauty Rihanna has been named as the celebrity who will turn on the Christmas lights at Stratford's Westfield shopping centre in London next week.

The Bajan sensation, who is currently promoting her new album 'Unapologetic', will appear at Westfield on Monday, November 19 where she will begin the festive ceremony.

Myf Ryan, the centre's marketing manager, said in a statement:

"Christmas is always such a special time of year for Westfield and we are so excited that Rihanna has chosen Westfield Stratford City to help celebrate the festivities."

"Our shoppers love Rihanna and we are proud to be able to host this unique and exclusive concert for UK fans."
