Givenchy on designing Rihanna tour fashion: "She represents what young and amazing means today"

Fashion house Givenchy has designed some of the outfits for Rihanna's 'Diamonds' world tour and one of its designers has opened up about working with her on the costumes.

Riccardo Tisci, from Givenchy, explained that she is the embodiment of 'young and amazing' and it was a pleasure to work with her because she has a fantastic sense of style:

"I enjoyed making these looks: Rihanna represents what young and amazing means today. She is punk and talented. She offers intelligence, energy and pure beauty. Rihanna has what every girl aspires to have. She is the face of her generation."

He added that the items she will wear on her tour (shown below) represent "female empowerment and urban haute couture elegance."

Rihanna kicked off the tour on the weekend with the opening concert in Buffalo, New York but was forced to pull out of the second date yesterday (March 10) in Boston, Massachusetts after contracting laryngitis.
