Rihanna matches Elvis US chart milestone

Rihanna has equalled a US chart milestone once set by Elvis Presley.

The Bajan beauty has now had 25 songs in the Billboard Hot 100 top ten following the No.3 placing of her new Eminem duet 'The Monster'.

This has matched the total of Elvis, who had the eighth most top ten tracks - but it is still some way off the top of the list.

Madonna leads with a staggering 38 top ten hits, whilst The Beatles are in at No.2 with 34 songs. Michael Jackson is third on the list with 28 top ten songs.

However, with Rihanna's age only 25, it seems the No.1 spot on the list is firmly in her sights.

The singer's first US top ten song came in the shape of 2005's 'Pon De Replay' and she has taken eight years and four months to reach 25 top ten songs.

That timescale is better than Madonna, who took eight years and seven months to reach 25 in the 80s and 90s.
