Bajan beauty Rihanna has signed up to be the new face of fashion house Balmain. 

Olivier Rousteing, the label's creative director, told Women's Wear Daily that Rihanna was the perfect person for the face of the brand because she's edgy although she manages to be classy and sexy with it:

"In front of the camera, she makes you feel like she is the only girl in the world. When the woman that inspires you wears your creations, your vision feels complete."

The 'Umbrella' superstar took to her official Instagram account earlier this morning (December 17) and confirmed the exciting news by sharing a couple of photographs from the promotional shoot, accompanying them with the caption: "Guess who's the new BALMAIN Woman???!!!!!!!"

She is no stranger to the fashion industry as she launched her own clothing range in association with UK high street retailer River Island (shown below, middle) and has also starred in campaigns for Armani.
