The singer ushered in 2014 in style alongside friends such as model Cara Delevingne in New York.

She has uploaded a series of images from the night onto Instagram, which reportedly started in her lush new penthouse.

Rihanna is seen helping out in the kitchen before sitting down for some lavish nosh.

The group then celebrated at the 40/40 club with drinks and dancing.

Rihanna meanwhile recently became the new face of fashion house Balmain.

Their creative director Olivier Rousteing commented: "In front of the camera, she makes you feel like she is the only girl in the world. When the woman that inspires you wears your creations, your vision feels complete."
