Rita Ora says social networking websites are like 'drugs'

Rita Ora says social networking networking websites are like drugs when it comes to addictiveness.

Websites like Facebook and Twitter have become staples of internet browsing over the past few years, whilst photo sharing site Instagram has also emerged.

Speaking to Flare magazine, 'Hot Right Now' singer Ora said that she is so taken by social media that she has to check up on it when she wakes up.

The Brit said: "I'm on it as soon as I wake up. I scroll with one eye open. It's like a drug. For me, it's like, look forward. You don't have to look side to side. If you start looking from side to side, you get confused."

Ora meanwhile added that she looks to Beyoncé for inspiration on how to mould her career.

The singer, who is signed to Jay Z's Roc Nation label, said: "Beyoncé built her f**king foundation from the bottom. I think that's the exact career every female artist wants to have."
