Rita Ora has revealed that she wanted to smooch Iggy Azalea at this year's MTV VMAs.

The two stars performed their single 'Black Widow' at the event in Los Angeles on Sunday (August 24).

It seems, however, that Ora wanted to take things that little bit further and kiss Azalea on stage - something that they eventually decided against.

The Brit told The Sun: "I said to Iggy we should just make out on stage, kiss during our performance.

"She told me that would be crazy because it's already been done. Britney Spears and Madonna kissing was my favourite VMA performance ever."

Speaking meanwhile about suggestions her upcoming second album has been delayed because of her split from Calvin Harris, Ora said:

"It was always meant to have been released early next year. That's never changed. I don't understand why people said anything different."
