Rita Ora: 'It's rare to be able to be friends with ex-partners'

Songstress Rita Ora has revealed that despite trying, she has not yet managed to remain friends with an ex after time has been called on the relationship.

During a recent interview with the Kyle & Jackie O radio show on KIIS 106.5, the 'Shine Ya Light' beauty explained that it's hard to be friends with or to remain in the same social circle as an ex because there's so much history and emotion there:

"There is a possibility you can be friends, but it's very rare in my opinion because you're always going to have that backbone and undertone of what happened."

She continued: "Some people can do that, I haven't experienced it yet."

She went onto add that her new single, 'Poison', is about toxic relationships: "It was the last song I recorded for the new album which comes out in September. It's about all the exes I've had in my life, all rolled into one, and admitting that at 24 it's OK to have failed relationships and it be poisonous and things like that. It's just how I felt as a person."
