Rita Ora says proposed X Factor changes convinced her to join show

Rita Ora has revealed that potential changes in the X Factor format encouraged her to become a judge on the show.

The Brit jumped ship from The Voice earlier this month to line-up on the ITV show's panel.

She is joined by fellow newbie Nick Grimshaw and the returning Cheryl and Simon Cowell.

Speaking to The Sun, Ora said that a promised evolution in the X Factor was one of the main reasons why she left The Voice.

The singer said of meeting boss Cowell: "We had to fly out to Los Angles to finish my album the next day and he was working on Britain's Got Talent at the time.

"I had a lot of questions and he did too. But it just fit into place perfectly. And the time commitment worked perfectly for me.

"What made it special was when Simon asked me about X Factor, he told me about his plans for the show and how he was going to change it up."

Ora met Cowell in his west London mansion, with the 'Poison' star adding: "His house was incredible.

"It was actually a no pressure vibe, it felt very natural, it was professional and straight to the point."
