Watch Rita Ora perform at canonisation of Mother Teresa ceremony

Rita Ora performed at a canonisation of Mother Teresa ceremony in Rome this wekeend.

The singer ran through 'What Child Is This?' at the event on Saturday (September 3) at the Papal Basilica of St Paul.

While the Pope had been expected to attend, it has been reported that he was absent.

Speaking on Instagram after the ceremony, Ora wrote:

"I am honoured to have been invited, to fulfil the role as an ambassador to Kosovo, to sing at the canonisation of Mother Teresa.

"Singing 'What Child Is This' to celebrate her life and legacy will be a moment I cherish forever."

The late Mother Theresa was proclaimed a saint by Pope Francis on Sunday (September 4).

She passed away in 1997 after becoming an icon in the Catholic Church for caring for those in need.
