Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Lines' joins 1m sales club

Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Lines' is the latest single to shift over one million copies in the UK.

The song was released in the country on May 26 and it spent four consecutive weeks atop the charts before returning there again on Sunday (July 14).

The Official Charts Company have now revealed that it has bypassed the one million sales mark in the UK.

The milestone meanwhile was recently hit by the likes of Daft Punk's 'Get Lucky' and Kings of Leon's 'Use Somebody'.

Only 137 singles have sold over one million so far, with Sir Elton John's 1997 version of 'Candle In The Wind' the UK's bestselling song of all-time.

It has sold 4.91 million units since its release, with Band Aid's 'Do They Know It's Christmas?' following with sales of 3.73 million.
