Sam Smith says he now "feels nothing" towards the subject of his heartbreak album 'In The Lonely Hour'.

The Sun reports that married manager Elvin Smith is the unrequited love focus of Smith's 2014 debut record.

Speaking to the newspaper, the Brit singer said:

"I feel nothing towards him now. I'll always love him but I'm not in love with him anymore. I definitely don't crease on the floor in pain any more.

"I was the only one in the relationship. It was in my mind and was something I had to get over. I also made the record so that this doesn't happen again. I don't want to fall in love again with someone who doesn't love me back."

Smith's album features the singles 'I'm Not The Only One' and 'Stay With Me'.
