'Stay With Me' sensation Sam Smith has earned himself a phenomenal 13 nominations for the upcoming 2015 Billboard Music Awards. 

The nominees were announced earlier today and the British superstar has been recognised in the Top Artist, Top New Artist, Top Male Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Digital Songs Artist and Top Radio Songs Artist categories, to name but a few. The rest of Smith's categories can be seen below in the picture.

Posting on both Twitter and Instagram, the hitmaker expressed his amazement and wrote: "Oh my lordy. THIRTEEN Nominations. Unreal. Thank you so much Billboard xxxx."

This year's ceremony is due to take place on Sunday, May 17 and other nominated acts include One Direction, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, 5 Seconds Of Summer, Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran, Iggy Azalea, Hozier, Meghan Trainor, and Maroon 5.
