Sam Smith has offered his thoughts on the idea of David Beckham acting as James Bond.

The singer announced earlier this month that he has recorded the track 'Writing's On The Wall' for the upcoming Bond film Spectre.

The current Bond is played by Daniel Craig, but ex footballer Beckham has been linked to the role.

Speaking to OK!, Smith said that the former Manchester Utd star would be an intriguing choice for Bond.

He said: "That would be interesting, that's all I'll say - that would be very interesting.

"He'd look fit for sure! He looks amazing in a suit."

'Writing's On The Wall' will be released on September 25, with Spectre following on October 26.
