Selena Gomez on new album: 'I haven't let anyone alter my vision'

Songstress Selena Gomez has opened up about her forthcoming new studio album and revealed that it's the body of work she is the most proud of because she has put everything into creating it.

During an interview with On Air with Ryan this week, the beauty admitted that she has complete creative control over her new album and is so excited to show off her true sound to fans around the globe:

“I’ve really taken my time with this record. I’m not going to let anyone else alter my vision or tell me I need to do something. I’m very confident and can hear it, but I’m vulnerable, I’m real. I think it shows a different side of me.”

As previously reported, Gomez also confessed that she has used her strengths on this record: "For this record I wanted to find my sweet spot, if you will. I know that maybe vocally I wouldn't be the greatest singer in the world, but I know my strengths now. I know that I can translate emotion and heart, and I've written more than I've ever written on any album for this record."
