Selena Gomez on people's opinions: 'I don't give a f**k what people think'

Songstress Selena Gomez has revealed that choosing such a sultry picture for her new album's cover was tough because she knew people would probably have strong reactions to it.

Speaking to radio station Power 106 this week, the 'Good For You' beauty admitted that she won't let negativity or criticism get to her as she loves the cover that she chose for 'Revival': "I'm not going to give a f**k what people think. I'm not going to let them get to me. I can do what I want."

Referring to the stunning black and white photograph of herself that graces the cover, Gomez added: "I'm wearing high-waisted shorts that are obviously cut off, but it's beautiful. I'm proud of that. It's bare. I don't want diamonds and things all over me for the cover and really thick makeup. I wanted it natural."

She also recently spoke to Ryan Seacrest about body shaming: "I did gain weight, but I don’t care. I did [before]. You know what’s interesting? I posted this photo on Instagram and I was like, ‘There’s more to love and I’m happy with myself.’ The reason why I did that was because I didn’t want them to win. Because then the next day, it wasn’t about how I gained weight, it was about how I embraced it. And that’s just kind of my approach.”
