Selena Gomez: "You don’t have to be perfect, there's beauty in flaws"

Selena Gomez has opened up about her new positive outlook and confident attitude.

The ‘Good For You’ singer sat down for an in-depth chat with Latina magazine and reflected on how hard she used to be on herself.

Selena remembered: “I was my own worst critic. There’s so much pressure to be a certain way. I had to stop and stand back and say, ‘Is this good for me?’ It’s about awareness; now I allow myself to take care of myself.”

She also flagged up the importance of loving oneself: “I spent the last year getting to know myself, and I realised the most important relationship you have is the one with yourself.”

The 23-year-old actress and pop star went on to admit that she is no longer interested in perfection and the pressure to appear flawless:

“I’m a real person. I have bad days too. I can take good selfies, but they might be after I spent two hours in a hair-and-makeup chair.”

She finished: “You don’t have to be perfect; there’s beauty in flaws.”

Selena Gomez recently announced a 2017 American tour to promote her latest album, ‘Revival’.
