Selena Gomez teases new music by uploading onto Instagram

Selena Gomez has uploaded a 60 second clip onto Instagram that shows her in a recording studio with some of her new music being played in the background (see photo left and video below).

The 60-second video option is Instagram's latest feature.

Gomez has captioned the snippet: "So insta has 60 sec vids now... also new stuff coming."

The 23-year-old's last album, 'Revival', was released in October 2015 and amassed 117,000 album sales in its first week of release according to Billboard.

In a statement about the new feature, Instagram noted: "This is one step of many you'll see this year."

The company continued, "In the last six months, the time people spent watching video increased by more than 40 percent. And longer videos mean more diverse stories from the accounts you love, whether it's Selena Gomez (@selenagomez) hanging out with friends or beauty star Bretman Rock's (@bretmanrock) latest makeup tutorial."
