Selena Gomez & The Scene Set to Launch New Single and Album

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 23, 2011 -- Platinum-selling Selena Gomez & The Scene are set to premiere their new single, "Who Says," March 10 on the On Air with Ryan Seacrest show on 102.7 KIIS FM.  "Who Says" is the first single from Selena Gomez & The Scene's upcoming Hollywood Records album, to be released June 28.

The video for "Who Says" was helmed by award winning director Chris Applebaum (Rihanna, Britney Spears, Mariah Carey) and will premiere on the Disney Channel March 11.  The digital single will be available March 14.

"Who Says," produced by Eman (Whitney Houston, Celine Dion) and co-written by Priscilla Renea (Cheryl Cole, Rihanna), is an up-tempo paean of self-empowerment.  The song will be featured on Selena Gomez & The Scene's third CD, on the heels of their winning this year's People's Choice Award for Favorite Breakout Artist.  Selena and her band already have a platinum single, two # 1 Billboard Dance Singles, and two gold-selling, top-ten debuting albums under their belt.

Selena's talent extends beyond music; she is the star of the hit Disney Channel original series "Wizards of Waverly Place" and has starred in a spate of big-screen movies including the beloved "Ramona & Beezus" and upcoming Fox feature film "Monte Carlo" (July 1).

Selena will be appearing on The Late Show with David Letterman March 16.  Selena & The Scene will debut "Who Says" at the third annual Concert for Hope March 20.  Following that will be her debut television performance on "Ellen" March 22.
