The 'Who Says' singer and actress was in the country's capital, Sofia, filming scenes for her upcoming new movie 'The Getaway' when a 5.8 magnitude tremor shook the streets, but she took to social networking site Twitter earlier this afternoon (May 22) and told her followers that although it was a frightening experience she is fine:

"Thank you for all of your concerns!! Earthquake was scary but thankfull everyone is ok. Praying for Italy."

Yesterday, May 21, Gomez explained that she has nearly finished shooting her parts of the movie and tweeted: "Last week of filming then back home. :)"
