Selena Gomez promotes charity and thanks her 'girls' for being there

Disney starlet and singer Selena Gomez took to her official Twitter page last night (December 13) to promote a charity that she's been working with ahead of the Christmas holidays.

The beauty, who is known for her philanthropic efforts, wrote: "Support @kidalliance #FOREVERproject nthe 400,500+ kids in foster care who need forever families."

She also shared a photograph of herself wearing one of the organisation's hooded sweatshirts and the accompanying link explains that "the Alliance for Children’s Rights has worked to protect the rights of impoverished, abused, and neglected children and foster youth since 1992."

The charity also helps to raise money by selling hooded sweatshirts for a donation price: "You can help create a voice for kids in the foster care system by donating $75 or more to the Alliance and we’ll send you a cozy, zip-up hoodie with the one-of-a-kind FOREVER logo."

She also recently uploaded a video of herself performing a choreographed dance routine to friend Taylor Swift's 'I Knew You Were Trouble', which she captioned with a message to her girlfriends: "SO Cheesy, I know but I'm glad I've got my girls..... and Gweny... :) @tayorswift13 we love you!!!"
