Disney starlet Selena Gomez says being on the road with Taylor Swift would be the "best girl tour ever".

The brunette singer is gearing up for the release of her fourth studio album next year, and was asked about who she would love to tour with once her new music is unveiled to fans.

When her longtime friend Swift's name was thrown into the mix, Gomez gushed about the potential tour mate.

She exclaimed to Celebuzz: “That would be a dream come true. It’d be the best girl tour ever."

Gomez - who claims she will have a single ready by the "beginning of next year" - also talked about the hard work she has been putting into her hotly-anticipated new record.

She explained: ”I’ve been in the studio a lot and I’ve been writing more."
