Selena Gomez tells off prying reporter: 'Girls need to be more supportive of each other'

Former Disney starlet Selena Gomez recently hit back at a journalist who tried to get her to comment on Taylor Swift's foul-mouthed slip up at the 2013 MTV VMAs.

The 'I Knew You Were Trouble' beauty was caught by cameras at the ceremony saying "shut the f**k" up to best friend Gomez as One Direction were talking, but Gomez refused to make any comments in reference to that at the LA premiere of her new movie 'Getaway'.

Instead, Gomez told the reporter: "Don't try that with me. I think girls need to be more supportive of each other. I definitely agree with that. I'm all about that. Taylor has been one of those girls. We have been friends for five years. She is very strong. She doesn't care what people think and she inspires me."

Earlier this week, Gomez admitted that the One Direction boys are cute: "I am watching the boys, beautiful One Direction, who are not bad to look at, then they said my name. I looked at Taylor [Swift] - it was surreal."
