Sharon Osbourne sick of vocal talent show sob stories: 'Just shut up and sing'

TV personality Sharon Osbourne has confessed that she's sick of televised singing competitions and she's especially tired of the fact that everyone who takes part seems to have some kind of sob story to tell.

The star, who was one of the original 'X Factor' judges in the UK, admitted that people still come up to her and belt out a few lines of pop songs and she's had about enough of it now:

"If one more person stands in front of me and sings... I tell you, I've had it with people singing at me and I've had it watching people singing on TV."

"And they've all got something wrong - they've either got one lung, one kidney... They've all got somebody sick in hospital and it's like, 'Oh Lord, just shut up and sing!' But then, when they sing, it's like, 'Please stop it, I can't take it anymore'."

Earlier this week, her daughter Kelly revealed that someone bid £11,770 ($20,000) for a dinner with her family at the Race to Erase MS gala event over the weekend and it was overwhelming to see such a huge figure raised: That's insane but thank you thank you thank you whomever you are, I can't wait to have dinner with you!!!!! It's going to be a fun one so get prepared... YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!"
