Nate Simpson will take to the stage at the Norden farm Theatre it will be a tribute night of international Motown icon Marvin Gaye, performances of his soulful tunes including award winning track “What’s Going On” Heavily rooted in RnB, Gospel, Junk, jazz and Soul, Nate Simpson performs his own version of Marvin Gaye Classics.

Simpson brings home some great memories, making music you just can’t sit still through. Paying tribute to the Grammy Award winning legend.

Simpson has performed alongside the likes of internationally acclaimed jazz artist Julie Dexter on her UK/ European tour, in between a host of festival gigs along side the likes of Wretch 32, Corrine Bailey Rae, The Feeling, Jaguar Skills, BeKnight, Lianne le Havas , Jamie Cullum and more. His debut single from his EP “Steady” gained national airplay on the Huw Stephens show on BBC radio 1 Releasing ‘Get Up” with Dj Able through renowned Dj Spen’s quantize recordings label after commenting the following ‘ Simpson’s soulful vocals are just what you’ll need to get your floors jumpin.

His rich musical background has seen Nate’s career move from performing at everything from functions and corporate events, for Royalty to live on British TV competing at The Hammersmith Apollo to represent the United Kingdom for the Eurovision in 2017, The 2016 X Factor star made it to the final 6 boys on the ITV smash hit show with his mentor Nicole Scherzinger famously commenting that as he opened his mouth Jesus fell out’ and at later rounds earning himself a standing ovation by judges and audience at Wembley arena with fellow judge Simon Cowell commenting his performance was the best performance by a mile in his category,

Nate’s career has also seen him as a lead vocalist for the number one cruise company in the world ‘ carnival cruise lines’, Perform on a 30 date UK crooners tour as Nat King Cole at some of the UK’s most respected theatres and most recently perform in London’s West end version of Motown founders own autobiographical hit Broadway musical at the Shaftesbury theatre taking on roles of Berry Gordy himself and Marvin Gaye. Nate has also built a name on the UK gospel scene performing alongside side gospel veterans such a Mobo award winning Lurine Canto and IDMC choir.
