'Brainchild' is Netflix's first global kids’ science series. With thirteen episodes covering topics from the science and psychology of social media, to the "five second rule," to the mysteries of the oceans, the show premiered November 2nd to 130M worldwide subscribers in 30 languages. The series is created in partnership with STEM-learning-activist Pharrell Williams, and is hosted by UT Austin undergrad Sahana Srinivasan. 'Brainchild' uses zany graphics, interactive games, illusions, and skits and a diverse cast to teach children of all backgrounds that STEM is for them. The series is also being used in classrooms across the country to teach elementary and middle schoolers about the topics it covers.

'Brainchild' is the only show of its kind today, offering crucial STEM-forward "edutainment" for 6-10 year olds in today's charged political, sometimes science-unfriendly climate. Of 235 shows screened for the parents' viewing council Common Sense Media, and 42 chosen for the prestigious Common Sense Seal of excellent family-friendly entertainment, 'Brainchild' was the only science show to make the cut.

The New York Times says 'Brainchild' is must-watch viewing if you have "25 minutes and a curious kid," and the show has also received acclaim from The Daily Dot, Inverse, Entertainment Weekly, Decider, and more, both for its engaging content (SyFy says, "Netflix's 'Brainchild' looks like a mix of Bill Nye, Mythbusters, and Sesame Street") and bold casting (Inverse says of host Sahana, "This 22-Year-Old Texan Is the Science Communicator We've Been Waiting for").

Atomic Entertainment, the NYC-based production company behind 'Brainchild,' was founded by veteran television producer Jerry Kolber (the original 'Queer Eye,' 'Inked') and comedy writer/director Adam "Tex" Davis ("Just Friends"). Atomic Entertainment creates and produces premium, information-driven shows for a global audience. Their credits include the NatGeo Channel's Emmy-nominated, hit science show 'Brain Games,' the space-travel documentary '14 Minutes From Earth,' Discovery Science's 'Dark Web: Fighting Cyber Crime,' and the SYFY Channel's 'The Internet Ruined My Life.'
