(New York, NY): GRAMMY Award-winning producer and Chicago rapper Cam O’bi has teamed up with R&B singer/ producer theMIND for his new single "Perfect." The bubbly track ebbs and flows in classic Cam O’bi style and sees the two artists swapping verses acknowledging their own imperfections.

"People love tossing around the old, trite myth 'nobody’s perfect,' but when you consider the Earth with its unruly forests, complex atmosphere, fluctuating tilt, irregular rotation speed, arbitrary position in the solar system and so on, it becomes difficult to find a better word to describe it than just that: perfect," says Cam O’bi on the track. "The problem is that we’re all perfect, because perfect doesn’t mean 'without flaw.' But the trouble begins when we turn our gaze at our true selves and try to reconcile that with the self we thought we were. I have theMIND to thank for helping me write this flaming nosedive of a song."

"Perfect" follows lead singles from upcoming full-length ‘Grown Ass Kid’ – "Grammy’s Babies" and "Tenderheaded" ft. Smino. After making a name for himself in the Chicago scene producing for the likes of Noname, Saba, and others, Cam O'bi is stepping out on his own with his debut album that boasts features from Chance the Rapper, Smino, Mick Jenkins and others.

Cam O'bi is poignant, thoughtful and his "production credits read like a highlight reel of recent hits" (Pitchfork). If you’ve been tuned into rap and R&B’s stars of the moment, you’ve heard Cam O’bi—the prolific producer got his start in the Chicago hip-hop scene and has lent his touch to the likes of Jorja Smith, Moses Sumney, J.Cole, and others. He spent the last decade producing for the likes of SZA, Chance the Rapper, and Noname when working on their celebrated debuts and is "talented enough to bring artists into some of the strangest sounds and having them love them all." (Revolt TV) The recent L.A. transplant went from living in his studio to building a reputation for himself as one of Chicago's most sought-after hip-hop and R&B producers and recently snagged a GRAMMY nomination for his work on Dreamville's Revenge of the Dreamers III compilation.
