Today, Big Wild announces Touch (Reworks), a new EP reworking and remixing singer-songwriter-producer Jackson Stell's unexpectedly timely single "Touch." The adventurous and multilingual five-track collection is out July 24th on Counter Records, with the new remix by Australian-based duo Hermitude out today, transforming "Touch" into an agile shuffle as the beat drops into finger snaps and sparse, soulful drums.

The first single following Big Wild's 2019 debut album, Superdream, "Touch" marks another stylistic turning point for Stell, who has grown into "one of the fastest rising artists in the world of electronic music" (office) while simultaneously evolving into a singular vocalist, lyricist, and four-piece band leader.

Building upon the original composition, Touch (Reworks) fleshes out the prescient feelings of physical desire and yearning at its core, spurred by Stell's separation from his partner during months spent on tour. In addition to the Hermitude Remix, the EP includes the original track, a Spanish-language remake from Sotomayor, a recently released, groovy-heavy rendition from Poolside, and a stripped-back "Analog Sessions" version from Stell and bandmates Haley Johnsen (vocals, bass) and Maddie Rice (vocals, guitar).

As UPROXX writes, "Balancing the twang of an old spaghetti western with modern production, ['Touch'] is a perfect summer soundtrack with buoyant vocal melodies and warm guitars." Read the full interview with Big Wild here.
